Here for sale we have a Fender "10 for '15" Limited Edition American Standard Blackout Stratocaster Electric Guitar in Mystic Black finish. Back in 2015, Fender released the "10 for '15 Limited Edition Collection". This was a series of 10 guitars that were limited to 500 of each worldwide. The idea of this collection was to provide players and collectors with the opportunity to own guitars that had specifications that were unavailable in their product line at the time. This ranged from Ebony fingerboards on American Standard Stratocaster (like this Blackout Strat), to Surfboard-inspired Natural wood creations. Made in the USA in 2015, this guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include a 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo bridge with Bent Steel Saddles, Deluxe Staggered Sealed tuners, and a thinner Undercoat finish for improved body resonance. The pickups installed in this guitar are three Custom Shop Fat '50s Single-Coil Strat pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, neck tone, a No-Load bridge and middle tone control, and a 5-way pickup selector. The Satin Urethane-finished Maple neck plays very well, with the Modern ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promotes ergonomic hand positioning, feeling smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Ebony fingerboard is a very pleasant upgrade and feels luxurious under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface, with the 9.5" radius working in conjunction with the Medium Jumbo frets to produce an authentically vintage playing experience, allowing for vibrato techniques and complex chord shapes to be played with ease.The trio of Fender Custom Shop Fat '50s Single-Coil Strat pickups installed in this instrument deliver classic Stratocaster tones. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank. Power chords sound gritty & raw, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. One of these indentations slightly pierce the finish and the scratching causes slight hazing of the finish under direct lighting at certain angles. All aspects of the body demonstrate less frequent very light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.Condition of Frets:The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, with indentations beneath the treble strings throughout the early and middle register, with some flattening of the crowns apparent throughout the register. This does not affect playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.Current Set Up:Truss Rod: Fully functional.
