Designed specifically for mic'ing instruments (the "i," of course, standing for "instrument"), the Blue enCORe 100i offers up all of the same great qualities as its sibling mic, the enCORE 100, but specially calibrated for instruments. A tighter, supercardioid polar pattern gives you more rejection of outside noise to give you more of the sound you do want, making sure your instrumentation isn't muddied or muffled by superfluous noise. Ideal in live situations, the enCORE 100i will capture a frequency response of 50Hz to 16kHz with an SPL handling capability of up to a whopping 154dB. It's hard to find a better live instrument mic for the price than the enCORE 100i.
