zum Verkauf steht eine seltene und wunderschöne historische Parlor-/Salon-Gitarre aus der Zeit um 1900 bis 1930.

Hersteller / Herkunft

• Label: Robert Wolff – Elberfeld

• Einordnung: Historische Salon- bzw. Parlor-Gitarre

• Bauzeit: vermutlich ca. 1910–1935

• Herkunft: wahrscheinlich gefertigt im sächsisch-böhmischen „Musikwinkel“ (Region Markneukirchen / Graslitz)

Robert Wolff war nach heutigem Kenntnisstand vermutlich hauptsächlich Musikinstrumentenhändler und Verlagshaus in Elberfeld (heute Wuppertal). Viele Instrumente dieser Zeit wurden von Werkstätten und Manufakturen im Vogtland gebaut und anschließend unter Händlernamen verkauft.

Dieses Instrument hat über viele Jahrzehnte hinweg sicher zahlreiche Lieder begleitet und besitzt einen ganz besonderen Vintage-Charakter mit warmem, klarem Klang.

Zustand

Die Gitarre befindet sich im originalen, unrestaurierten Zustand mit altersbedingten Gebrauchsspuren.

Bekannte Punkte:

• leichte Risse in der Decke

• ein Riss auf der Rückseite

• die vorhandenen Risse sind derzeit verleimt und stabil

• Mechaniken funktionieren

• Bünde wurden geschliffen und poliert

• Instrument wurde gründlich gereinigt

• Griffbrett & Korpus mit Lemon Oil behandelt

• neue Nylon-Saiten aufgezogen und gestimmt

Die Gitarre ist spielbar, lässt sich angenehm leicht spielen und besitzt einen schönen warmen Klang.

Trotzdem sollte berücksichtigt werden, dass möglicherweise eine fachgerechte Restaurierung sinnvoll oder notwendig sein kann.

Die Gitarre weist typische Merkmale früher Wiener bzw. vogtländischer Bauweise auf:

For sale is a rare and beautiful historical parlor/salon guitar dating from approximately 1900 to 1930.

Manufacturer / Origin • Label: Robert Wolff – Elberfeld

• Classification: Historical salon/parlor guitar

• Estimated production period: approx. 1910–1935

• Origin: likely built in the Saxon-Bohemian “Musikwinkel” region (Markneukirchen / Graslitz)

Based on current research, Robert Wolff appears to have been primarily a musical instrument dealer and publishing house in Elberfeld (now part of Wuppertal, Germany). Many instruments from this era were produced by workshops and small manufacturers in the Vogtland region and later sold under dealer labels.

This instrument has surely accompanied many songs over the decades and carries a truly unique vintage character with a warm, clear tone.

Condition The guitar remains in original, unrestored condition with age-related signs of use.

Known details: • minor cracks in the top

• one crack on the back

• existing cracks are currently glued and stable

• tuning machines function properly

• frets have been leveled and polished

• instrument has been thoroughly cleaned

• fretboard and body treated with lemon oil

• fitted with new nylon strings and tuned

The guitar is playable, comfortable to play, and produces a warm and pleasant sound.

However, please keep in mind that a professional restoration may still be advisable or necessary.
