GO FIND ANOTHER ONE!

For sale is an extraordinary 1968 Rickenbacker 4005 in Azure Glow, a finish so rare that in years of buying and selling vintage instruments I have never personally seen another example, nor have I been able to locate one anywhere online.

The 4005 is already one of Rickenbacker’s most desirable hollowbody bass models, but finding one in this stunning Azure Glow finish elevates it into true unicorn territory. The color has aged beautifully, with depth and character that only decades can produce.

This bass is all original and in great overall condition, showing only light, honest wear throughout along with some natural tarnishing to the hardware. For a nearly 60-year-old instrument, it is remarkably clean and well preserved.

It plays wonderfully and delivers the unmistakable Rickenbacker hollowbody tone — deep, woody lows with a clear, articulate top end that cuts through a mix without ever sounding harsh.

It comes complete with the original Rickenbacker hard shell case.

If you are a serious Rickenbacker collector or simply want a once-in-a-lifetime vintage bass that no one else has, this 1968 4005 in Azure Glow is as rare as it gets.
