The EHX Hum Debugger from Electro-Harmonix is a dedicated hum-elimination pedal designed to reduce unwanted 50/60 Hz hum from electric guitar signals. Unlike a conventional noise gate, it is specifically intended to address hum while preserving the natural dynamics and sustain of the instrument, making it particularly useful with single-coil pickups and in environments affected by electrical interference.

Operation is deliberately simple, with a two-position Normal/Strong switch for selecting the amount of hum reduction. Normal mode provides a more moderate treatment, while Strong mode offers increased suppression for more problematic situations. The pedal features a rugged enclosure and straightforward input/output connections, making it an easy addition to a guitar signal chain when persistent mains-related hum is an issue.

This EHX Hum Debugger includes its dedicated US power supply. Important: the included power supply is designed for 120V mains operation and should not be connected directly to a 230V European mains outlet. Compatibility with local mains voltage must be addressed separately.
