About this listing
1978 Gibson Les Paul Artisan 3-Pickup – Walnut – Hearts & Flowers – Incredible ConditionDescription:One of the most ornate guitars Gibson ever built, and this one is in remarkable shape for its age.The 1978 Les Paul Artisan is Norlin-era Kalamazoo at its most extravagant: ebony fretboard with mother-of-pearl hearts and flowers inlays, a pre-war style script Gibson logo, multi-ply binding, gold hardware throughout, and the rare three-humbucker configuration, a catalog option in '78.Condition: Excellent for a 48-year-old guitar. The walnut top is clean and uncluttered. Honest disclosure of everything I found:Light binding aging along the neck, consistent with ageMinor wear near the headstock, which appears to be from sitting in a hanging guitar holder (see photos)Nothing else I could find. No cracks, no repairs (Stamped second on the back of the headstock; I can't find the flaw.)
