About this listing
2019 1959 ES-335 Aged VN Stinger Now in Stock We have received the 1959 ES-335 Reissue Aged, part of the Historic Collection Series, which was produced in limited quantities with meticulous attention to detail and carefully selected specifications. This 2019 model was released to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the vintage 1959 Gibson guitar. The finish color is gVintage Natural,h which differs slightly from the standard gAntique Naturalh color. Itfs an impressive finish that not only features a unique color but also has a natural, rich tone in the topcoat. Additionally, the back of the headstock features a Stinger finish. The guitar gStinger Finish,h which was used on top-of-the-line jazz guitars?including those from the authentic vintage era?has been adopted on other models as well, but since itfs a rare specification, this particular instrument exudes a truly special feel. As the other specifications are equivalent to current models and this is a recent production, this is great news for users who missed out on purchasing one back in the day. Since the overall finish is an aged finish, wefve rated its condition as B+ due to the nature of the finish. However, since itfs a recent model, itfs in very clean condition. There are slight signs of wear on the frets from the 5th to the 7th fret, but since there is no severe wear across the entire fretboard, we recommend performing a fret repair once the wear has evened out across the entire instrument. This is a truly exceptional instrument that will resonate with vintage Gibson enthusiasts who are drawn to and admire the gGuitar Stingerh headstock?a finish that was rare even in the 1950s.
