Accordingly, thebody is made of a solid piece of mahoganyand is finished with atwo-piece flamed maple topwith a flame figure. Naturally, the formula of a good Fifties Les Paul should not be without the gluedLong Neck Tenonof themahogany neck, which is glued all the way down to the neck pickup.Gibson Custom Bucker with Paper-in-Oil CapsFor worthy sounds of the legendary PAF humbucker, Gibson relies on successful replicas of the coveted double coils with twoCustom Bucker humbuckers. Hand-wound in theGibson Custom Shop, the pickups are fitted withAlnico III magnetsfor a warm and vocal sound character and havenon-waxed coils, which clearly preserves the treble content in the signal. The electronics wiring is also completelyhand-wiredand features original components of the golden LP era withCTS potentiometersfor volume and tone as well asoil-paper capacitors.Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged TreatmentCreated by ageing legend Tom Murphy, theMurphy Labemploys a numberof experts who analyze in detail the lacquer finish and ageing process ofhardwarefrom original instruments and authentically recreate them as part of the1959 Les Paul Standard Southern Fade Burst Ultra Light Aged. TheUltra Light Aged Treatmentreplicates Murphy Lab's lightest ageing process and simulates the few signs of wear and tear on an amazingly well-maintained instrument that shows only a few age-related traces in the form of nitro lacquer cracks and a slighthardwareageing.
