FENDER USA American Vintage AVRI 62 Stratocaster ICE BLUE METALLIC 2006Super Rare 2006 Ice Blue Metallic USA AVRI in exceptional conditionPlenty life left in the original vintage frets which have just had a professional level, mirror polish & setup, providing extra slinky low playing actionFender case candy including bridge cover, Fender leather strap, original 'aged white' plastics (including tremolo cavity cover) that have been swapped for a different colour installed, paperwork/hang tags/stickers, spare tremolo springs, 3 way switch that was swapped for the factory included 5 way at some point in the past (bridge/middle wired to 2nd tone pot as per modern wiring)The factory zinc tremolo block has been swapped for a vintage correct aged solid steel block and 'Pat Pend' saddles from 'Crazy Parts Germany' (original factory saddles in case)Original CTS Pots all check out to 50th week of 2005 (see photos) & all the original wiring including original 57/62 pickups appear correct & undisturbed (check photos) Neck dates & factory markings also check out correct to 2006 era - neck itself is a major highlight, with the extra comfortable carve, size and naturally rounded edges known for this period, including a lovely rich rosewood slab on this particular piece. Factory synthetic nut has been replaced with a proper non-bleached polished bone nut & with minimal relief is set up for 10 gauge strings (Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkys currently installed)The 57/62 pickups deliver the perfect early 60s vintage tone expected & are very nicely balanced, with the classic quack in positions 2/4This is an incredible example of one of the best vintage reissues in the last 25 years, weighing just 7.35 lbs (without tremolo arm installed) the whole body vibrates & resonates acoustically & delivers all the classic early '60s Stratocaster tones you expect when you plug in. Easily holds its own with Fender Custom Shop at half the price & with all the vibe & class of a fabulous preserved 20 year old USA Fender!A rare find in even rarer 20 year old condition - these don't come along often in this colour & even less often in this highly collectible condition.
