For sale is a Gefell RFT (Neumann) MV691 small-diaphragm condenser with the M70 cardioid Nickel capsule. It comes in a neat wooden box, included is an adapter-cable which enables the mic to run with +48V (no need for the extra 12V power supply).

It sounds exceptional on acoustic guitar and strings, and also used as overhead or cymbal / hihat mic.

You get the sound of a Km84 for a fraction of the price.

The MV 691 microphone amplifier was first produced in 1973. It is a transformer coupled FET transistor microphone body (no feedback circuit) developed by Siegfried Thiersch then development engineer at Gefell (RTF VEB MTG) in cooperation with the RFZ Berlin. The MV691 can use several capsules: M 93, M 69, M 70, M 71, M 72, M 73, M 79, M 94 and the multi-pattern UM 70. A classic system known for its rich tone and historical significance in East German studio engineering.

The finish of the micbody looks a bit rough, could be easily fixed with a black marker. Tho i wanted to keep it in it's original condition. Technically it works like a charm.

I am selling it because i got two more and don't need the third one that often.
