Although the ubiquitous Yamaha NS-10M speaker was originally designed for home use, by its incredibly accurate temporal response and low distortion, it became perhaps the most widely-used studio monitor in the world. The original NS-10 was released in 1978 during the "Golden Era" of Japanese audiophile equipment production, but even today, after more than 40 years, these monitors are still found in innumerable studios around the world. The Yamaha NS-10s were used to mix countless classic records, by artists such as Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, and Hall and Oates. The NS-10M features an updated tweeter and crossover.
