Master guitar, built by Telesforo Julve.
Telesforo Julve is a very important person among the guitar builders of Spain. He is the nephew of Andres Marin and many famous masters worked in his workshop. Among them are Ricardo Sanchis Nacher and Vicente Tatay.
In 1931 he took over the workshop of Salvador Ibanez e Hijos, from which also some of the best luthiers have emerged.
The guitars of Telesforo Julve are popular for collectors and players as well. One was recently sold for 3,500 €:
This guitar sounds outstanding and its playability is really excellent.
The sound has an incredible deep vintage tone. It has a very long sustain.
The basses are very distinctive, but the guitar is balanced at all levels.
The state of preservation is good - it has slight traces of use and a repaired crack on the top. The original shellac has of course worn out over the years.
It is then up to the new owner to leave the guitar in the original state (which is not a problem), or refinish it.
