Marshall Lead 12 Mini Stack Kurt Cobain Nirvana Stage Amp 1980s Guitar Amplifier

Here for sale is a Marshall Lead 12 Mini Stack in Red from the 1980's. This is highly collectable and great sounding Marshall and made in the United Kingdom in the 1980's. This mini stack was made famous by Kurt Cobain who had one as a stage prop in red behind him on every concert from the In Utero Tour in 1993 and 1994. Nirvana liked them so much that Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear had one in black on their respective sides of the stage. It even had it on the set of the Heart Shaped Box video and can be seen in out takes and photos from that session. He was very found of the amp even though he often taped over the Marshall logos on the bands 4 x 12 cabs it appealed to his and the bands sense of humour to make it look like they were playing through these mini stacks on stage. The amp actually has a good sound like early JCM models, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top really rates them and is known to use one, as is Steve Lukather from Toto! Kurt Cobain's red Marshall Lead 12 Mini stack currently resides at the Mopop Museaum in Seattle along with Pat Smears Black Marshall Lead 12.

This Marshall Lead 12 Mini stack is in great condition for its and full working order and has had a recent service. There is some wear on the grill cloth but over all its in nice shape. It is wired for EU voltage so a UK or EU plug would power it but for players in the USA you would need a voltage convertor. Seldom seen in Europe and it is becoming increasingly collectable as the first mini stack pioneered by Marshall and the ever growing popularity of Nirvana and the legend that is Kurt Cobain.
