EMT 982 Professional Studio CD Player in exceptional cosmetic and technical condition, direct from the legacy inventory of the German public broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR).

This unit represents the pinnacle of broadcast CD engineering, featuring the ultra-reliable Philips CDM-9 Pro transport and superb bitstream conversion. It comes complete with its authentic BR inventory markings (T-Number), original inspection tags, and the rare calibration flag from the station’s technical laboratory.

Front panel, display, and chassis are in outstanding, near-mint condition (please check the detailed photos).

Extensively bench-tested on the workbench. Reads commercial pre-mastered CDs as well as self-burned CD-Rs flawlessly—even across long playback durations and outer tracks.

All buttons, the jog/shuttle wheel, internal speaker, headphone amp, and balanced XLR analog outputs have been fully verified and operate with absolute precision.

Broadcast Spec Note: Varispeed is factory-disabled/fixed to standard pitch per official ARD/BR broadcast specifications to ensure absolute time and pitch accuracy during live operation.

Varispeed can be easily reactivated by internal jumper setting on the main board if desired.
