The OM-28 (2025) is an Orchestra Model acoustic guitar from Martin & Co.’s “Standard” series, featuring a spruce top, East Indian rosewood back and sides, a select hardwood neck, and an ebony fingerboard. It incorporates "GE-style" (Golden Era) scalloped bracing, which enhances brightness and sound projection. The neck features a refined "Modified Low Oval" profile, while the heel, neck, and bridge have been crafted with softened edges for improved comfort; it also includes bone bridge pins. The instrument has a 44.45 mm (1 3/4") nut width, a 645 mm (25.4") scale length, and a gloss finish on the top, back, and sides.

Overview of the Martin & Co. OM-28 (2025)

Compact yet commanding, and equipped with scalloped bracing, the OM-28 brings your sound to life—whether you are fingerpicking, strumming, or playing solo. Offering a perfect balance across all six strings, the guitar features striking herringbone trim, East Indian rosewood, ebony, and spruce, with vintage-inspired details that lend a classic look to its timeless sound.

A key update to the 2025 Standard series is the inclusion of Sitka spruce "Golden Era" (GE) style bracing—a feature also found in the Modern Deluxe series—which imparts a more vintage, airy tonal character with enhanced sustain.

The "Modified Low Oval" GE-style neck profile retains its classic shape while being optimized for a vintage feel. The fingerboard has been slimmed down and features rolled edges for greater comfort, and the string spacing at the nut has been refined. Additionally, the new "Modern Belly" GE-style bridge is designed with softer, more comfortable edges. Standard Series guitars are now equipped with bridge pins made of either bone or ebony, depending on the model. Aesthetic updates include an elongated diamond inlay on the headstock, an angled nut, and a more refined, vintage-style heel.
