The D-25-12 is known for its powerful, full-bodied 12-string tone, with plenty of volume and projection. The dreadnought body provides a strong low and mid-range response, while the 12-string configuration adds the characteristic shimmer, richness and harmonic complexity.

The solid Sitka spruce top combined with the arched mahogany back is a particularly distinctive feature of this generation of Guild guitars, contributing to its strong projection and balanced response.

The 1996 D-25-12 was built during Guild's highly regarded Westerly-era production, making it an appealing choice for players looking for a vintage American-made 12-string with plenty of character.
