In stock and ready to ship (Worldwide !)Vemuram Jan Ray Overdrive Effectpedal The Jan Ray is a very sophisticated and nuanced overdrive pedal that was designed to recreate the punchy clear tone of the Blackface Fender amps from the 60's, sometimes referred to as the "Fender Magic 6" sound. This is because many musicians have praised the sound of some of these amps, specifically when they're set like this: Volume at 6, Treble at 6, Middle at 3 and Bass at 2. The last 3x2=6, hence the Magic 6 sound. The Jan Ray gives you a crispy tone with warm and mellow lows, sweet mids at higher settings and overall a superb range of clean and dirt sounds. The controls are, from top to bottom and left to right, Volume, Gain, Bass and Treble. An extra Saturation trimpot is located at the top of the pedal and can be set using the included mini-screwdriver. This setting gives even finer control over the drive and can be cranked for a richer and more saturated overdrive. Like all Vemuram pedal, the Jan Ray comes in a luxurious brass enclosure which also provides shielding from background noises and hum.
