In fact, a bit too good... I'm mainly selling it as switched to small diaphragm condensers for my drum overheads as the B1 picked up too much room detail when playing live!Can be matched with other B1s if they have the same colour dot on the box (dark green on this one).In good condition. Cosmetically there are a few marks, but the sound is pristine. It's only been lightly used, and stored boxed in a dry cupboard for most of its life. It’s a fixed-cardioid, large diaphragm mic that’s been a go-to in home and project studios for vocals, acoustic instruments, and general recording duties. It has an “open, uncoloured sound” with a subtle presence lift, plus a pleasing density on vocals. They also noted how well it handles acoustic guitar — adding a bit of weight while smoothing harsh edges without losing detail. Overall, they concluded it performs far beyond what you’d expect at this price point, and is perfectly capable as a main mic in a home studio setup.
