More Information
A year after Fender launched the Signature Series with the Eric Clapton model in 1987, the line expanded with the Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster. Notable features included a brass nut, 22 scalloped frets, and two DiMarzio HS-3 single coil pickups paired with one American Standard single coil. It was available in Candy Apple Red, Sonic Blue or Vintage White finish with either a Maple or Rosewood fretboard.
The current versions feature slight variations on the original model, most notably a set of Seymour Duncan YJM pickups.
