Compact linden body meets maple neckThe linden body with a relic finish is the highlight of this limited edition, whilst the bolt-on maple neck features an ebony fingerboard. Thanks to the combination of the body, the comfortable neck profile and the compound radius of the fretboard—which increases from 12” to 16”—the EVH Wolfgang offers a comfortable playing experience that lets even the most intricate solos flow effortlessly from your fingers. Wolfgang Humbuckers and special potentiometersThe EVH Wolfgang Striped’s electrical signal conversion is handled by two EVH Wolfgang humbuckers personally developed by Eddie van Halen. With their hot output and balanced response across all frequencies, these pickups deliver a fat rock sound that makes every solo sing with endless sustain, whilst the precise attack and perfect string separation ensure tight rhythm playing. The pickups are controlled via a 3-way toggle switch as well as general volume and tone controls, which feature different potentiometer types. The particularly smooth-moving volume pot allows for violin-like fade-ins, whilst the stiffer-moving tone pot is resistant to unwanted adjustment. Floyd Rose with EVH D-TunaFurthermore, the EVH Wolfgang Special Striped is fitted with a Floyd Rose tremolo, which ensures perfect tuning stability even during the most aggressive dive bombs and squeals. The EVH D-Tuna on the low E string enables lightning-fast retuning to drop tunings without the need for fiddly vibrato adjustments. The characteristically designed headstock also features precision EVH-branded Gotoh tuners.
