About this listing
This Alesis Strike Pro Special Edition (SE) electronic drum kit is in very good condition (a few scuff marks and scratches here and there and a couple of missing components; see below). The kit includes upgraded drumheads on all but two pads (3-ply DrumTec Real Feel, among the best mesh heads you can buy, worth a couple hundred dollars on their own). The kit also includes three extra drum pads not included in the original kit: one extra 8" tom and two extra 12" toms, making this a 9-piece kit (extra pads represent about a $300-400 value).PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: The original 16" 3-zone ride was replaced with a fully functioning 18" Lemon 3-zone ride (you can see this in the pictures; the ride has slightly different texturing), so the original Alesis ride cymbal is NOT included. Also, although I am including the 14" hi-hat cymbal pad itself, the hi-hat bottom plate/mount is NOT included, and the hi-hat control mechanism has not been tested (I used this kit with a different hi-hat). So you will need your own hi-hat trigger mounting/control mechanism. The kick drum is missing the rubber pad on one of its legs; this does not affect the balance, sturdiness, or operation of the kick drum. One of the extra 12" tom pads is missing the quick-screw bolt that serves to tighten the tom onto the mounting rod when installed. The bolt can easily be replaced. Finally, please note that in order to take full advantage of the extra drum pads provided in this kit, you will need an additional MIDI interface, such as the Audiofront eDRUMin module, which can be purchased for about $150. The MIDI-out from that interface can be fed into the MIDI-in of the Alesis Strike module, allowing you to trigger either Strike samples or other VST samples on your computer (Superior Drummer, etc.).Shipping (flat rate) or local pickup is available. If you have any questions about this kit, please ask! (Note that this kit does not include a snare stand, hi-hat stand, kick pedal, or throne.)
