A 2025 Jazz Bass crafted by Senior Master Builder Dale Wilson has arrived!

Dale Wilson
The Wilson family has been involved in woodworking for generations, and the commitment to the high level of craftsmanship demanded by the Custom Shop was naturally instilled in Dalefs DNA.
Immediately after graduating from high school in the late 1980s, Dale worked on repairs and modifications at a small guitar shop.
After building a career with Dobro and Rickenbacker, Dale joined Fender in 2003. After working on guitars for brands such as Guild, Gretsch, and Benedetto, he joined the Custom Shop in 2005, where he apprenticed under successive Master Builders and was promoted to Master Builder himself in 2011.

This newly arrived instrument is based on the '64 J-Bass, featuring a two-piece alder body, a '60s J-Bass U-shaped flat-sawn maple neck, a 7.25" radius slab-jointed rosewood fingerboard, Vintage Upgrade / 45085 fret wire, and Hand-Wound VINT J-Bass pickups.
Featuring the classic combination of a sunburst finish and a tortoiseshell pickguard, this is a stunning instrument with impressive relic work that gives it a truly distinctive character.
Dale Wilson is a master of relic finishing among builders and enjoys immense popularity; as he is currently not accepting new orders, we encourage those who have been searching for one to consider this instrument as soon as possible.
