This is a USA built Mensfeld Iron Cross guitar!
Here we have an extremely rare and very unique guitar, a Mensfeld Iron Cross guitar, which was made in the USA, and is one of only "a few" ever made. Although it looks metallic (or perhaps silver sprayed plastic) in places, the guitar actually features a maple body. It is also equipped with Schaller locking tuners, a Washburn trem, and Seymour Duncan invaders pickups (neck and bridge respectively).
Black and silver with white pearl pick-guard, and silver pinstripe around the body!
Take a look at the bolt on tuning pegs construction, the amazing headstock design and the excellence in craftsmanship, dedication to details and perfection, where nothing is overlooked. Guitar has an extremely comfortable neck, and perfect frets.
BUILDER PROFILE!
Mensfeld Guitars was started in 1982 when Matt Mensfeld and two friends from a band that had been playing enough to pay their bills found itself with no gig - nor a chance for one - after Martial Law was declared in Poland.
Mensfeld guitars were hand crafted by Maciej Mensfeld, owner of Mensfeld Corp.
Apparently Mensfeld worked for Parker at some stage.
Guitars were made in Chicago, USA!
After starting with just the three of us, we grew to peak at 35 full-time employees before the company was sold in 1995. I moved to the U.S. in 2000 and reactivated the company in Chicago in February, 2005, starting with two employees.
