One of Seymour Duncan’s most popular bass models, the Quarter Pound for Jazz Bass® was designed to take your bass tone to new heights. This neck and bridge pickup set has it all: hot output, great attack and massive attitude. The 1/4” diameter pole pieces and hot coil windings deliver a full, even response with great sustain and complexity that are at home in any genre of music. The neck pickup is RW/RP (reverse wind reverse polarity) for hum cancellation when both pickups are used together. These pickups are a drop-in replacement for any American Standard Jazz Bass®. 

Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA the Quarter Pound for Jazz Bass® uses Alnico 5 rod magnets and Forbon flatwork, and is wax potted for squeal-free operation. Comes with black cover.

Below are impressions and anecdotal thoughts gathered over the years. Some are our own and some are from customers.

• High output aggressive pickups. Simply quite loud. Among the loudest we have heard period
• Punchy, snappy, aggressive tone that helps cut through other instruments, especially if there are multiple electric guitars and keyboards
• They fit in a typical Jazz Bass® pickup route well. The pickups are of average depth. The length and width is pretty similar to the stock pickups in a Fender® J, or any pickups that are using the vintage style covers
• Unique look with the over-sized pole pieces. The rest of the shell is similar to a vintage shell
