Modern meets tradition The K-Custom series sets the standard for modern cymbal sounds like no other series in the Zildjian range. The extensive range of models offers drummers a wide selection of sounds that blend perfectly with modern musical styles. Zildjian – a success story The renowned cymbal maker Zildjian – a name which loosely translates as ‘son of a cymbal maker’ – can already look back on almost 400 years of success. Driven through many ups and downs, it was above all the outstanding quality and unrivalled sound of Zildjian cymbals that ensured steady progress in the world of musical instruments. After making the leap across the Atlantic in the 20th century, there was simply no stopping them, and today it is impossible to imagine the scene without the cymbals bearing the iconic Zildjian branding. Handcrafted quality The K Series, which first saw the light of day in the second half of the 19th century and set new standards with its incredible resonance and, for its time, unbelievably slim construction combined with exceptional durability, is subject to constant optimisation by Zildjian, with only the composition of the metals – carefully guarded as a family secret – remaining constant. The unique K-alloy, combined with the intricate hand-hammering and turning techniques of the most skilled artisans, makes the K’ Custom Zildjian cymbals highly versatile instruments. Depending on the playing style, they offer a very wide spectrum of low and high frequencies, ranging from mellow to intense. ZILDJIAN K-Custom Dark Crash Features: Size: 17" Alloy: B20 cast bronze alloy, hand-hammered (modern and traditional hammering) Traditional Finish Sound: A unique crash with dry, gritty overtones; quick attack with a very rapid decay, very dark and full-bodied.
