The sE Electronics sE2200 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone with a cardioid polar pattern and handmade capsule. The sE2200 features the original capsule design, a custom-built transformer and class-A circuit topologies with state-of-the-art components and a shorter, optimised signal path. These characteristics provide you with a greater noise performance and clarity with a new pad and filter options increasing this microphones versatility.The sE2200 is a cardioid-only microphone with two gold-sputtered diaphragms used to ensure the best possible acoustic performance. The capsule is hand-crafted and individually tuned. Low noise, consistent performance and high sensitivity are provided by state-of-the-art surface-mounted electronic components with extremely tight tolerances.The -10 dB and -20 dB pad switches provide extended dynamic range, enabling a wide variety of applications and close-mic techniques for even the loudest instruments. Selectable at either 80Hz or 160Hz, the two low-cut filters help eliminate low-frequency rumble or footfall noise.
