Here for sale we have a Martin LX1RE in Satin Natural. Made in Mexico this electro-acoustic guitar consists of a High Pressure Laminate body with Spruce top, Select Hardwood neck and 20 fret Richlite fingerboard. Other appointments include sealed Martin tuning machines, Richlite bridge and X shaped bracing patter. A Fishman Sonitone pickup is fitted and wired to volume and tone controls found inside the soundhole.The neck fills the hand nicely for a substantial yet comfortable grip, well suited to both chordal and melodic playing styles. The Satin finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 23" scale, making the instrument feel very easily manoeuvrable. The Richlite fretboard is pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth and durable playing surface right the way up the register. Its traditional 16" radius is well suited to a wide range of playing styles and techniques, perfect for the musician on the move. The acoustic voice of the Martin LX1RE is rich and surprisingly well balanced for such a small-bodied guitar. The low end whilst unpronounced remains accurate and warm. The mid range is open and clear and is complimented well by a nice bright top end. The Spruce top projects well, providing an impressive level of volume as well as a wide and sensitive dynamic range. The addition of an undersaddle piezo pickup is a great touch which provides the versatility required for both live and recording situations, making this a highly portable and usable instrument.
