Very good condition 1966 Gibson SG Junior in original cherry finish. No breaks. This model appears to be a very nice blend of a 60’s SG Junior body, with an SG special P-90 added in the bridge, and an SG special large guard swapped out as well. Sort of an interesting piece as the guitar is in remarkably good shape, with some very nice checking happening throughout the entire body. This is a single owner example guitar, and was kept in the case when not be played almost entirely. The maestro trem on this example is very responsive, and has a great spongy feel. The P-90 currently in the guitar has a very bitey mid range, while cleaning up quite nicely when rolled back. All electronics have been tested to be working as expected. No scratchy pots etc. Frets still have plenty of life. The large guard has some give from age, but is fastened nicely to the top. There is some play wear on the back of the neck that can be seen in the photos, but this is of course purely cosmetic. The current Gibson Deluxe tuners turn well and keep tune nicely. S/N #803200. Comes with an older Gibson hardshell case that fits the guitar nicely. Willing to ship or drive a reasonable distance. Always open to offers!
