About this listing
Yes, it is technically CBS but if you do your research it is still while Leo was still overseeing manufacturing so it is as if Pre-CBS and as you see it has the 4 bolt neck, which Fender Inc (CBS) did effectually return to after years of the 3 bolt neck. After Leo left is when CBS downgraded everything around late 1969. I put very good because I looked at the other ones on Reverb that said "Excellent or Very Good" and this one is better than them as far as nicks and scratches. But I just couldn't bring myself to say excellent when it is not pristine. For its age, Very Good, for a guitar that has been played and gig'ed. I got it from someone I know well who was the 2nd owner (82yrs old) and has had it for 40+ years.I just had it re-fretted as the originals were worn down beyond just a fret job. I put the frets a little fatter than original for a better bite for bending for the blues. It very playable! The neck isn't too fat like some old teley's but it's still substantial for great sustain. Look close at the pics because I am not a store and do not want to deal with returns. It is as stated a 1967 Telecaster, NOT AN RE-ISSUE. With Original case.
