About this listing
For sale an amazing fender stratocaster dated July 1962, as you can see on the photo the Brazilian rosewood fretboard touches the truss rod slightly making this guitar a transition from slaboard to veneer which happened between July & August 1962, also this strat was stripped to natural from its original factory custom fiesta red colour and never refinished, please see the 3x nail holes photos to proof these have never been sprayed, guitar was never refinished, dowel marks (plugs) all in place. All parts plastic and hardware are original except for new frets done long time ago and still in great shape, no buzzing whatsoever and a joy to play, nut was also replaced this is done when the guitar gets new frets for the precise calibration and height of the strings. The original blackbottom pickup set was never rewound. It weights 3.6kg which is around 7.9lb, 1st fret measures 4.1cm (1.6inches) and 12th freet 5.1cm (2inches). Original case included. This one is ready to play and of course has a killer sound typical of most pre cbs guitars of the era. Great opportunity to own an instrument that was part of the music history that made the world go round.
