About this listing
The Jazz Bass was introduced by Fender in 1960 as the Deluxe Bass. This 1969 bass guitar shows why the Jazz Bass set the standard for electric basses. This Jazz Bass features a very crisp sunburst finish. Furthermore, we see a maple neck fitted with a rosewood fingerboard featuring mother-of-pearl block inlays and white binding. The bass has notable playwear, but for a nearly 60-year-old guitar, it is in very crisp condition! The previous owner(s) must have taken good care of it to keep it in such good condition. The classic ashtray pickup covers come in the hardshell case.It has clearly been played, a refret was needed and has been done. The miles on the clock make it so that the sound of this bass is clear and resonant. It has that distinguished Jazz growl that sings through every mix.All the electronics are original and well maintained. The bass is equipped with two single-coil pickups. The single-coil pickups sound full and fat, and can be operated with separate volume controls and a master tone knob. This 1969 Jazz Bass is a beautiful gem, deserving to be well taken care of for many years to come.photos of: Actual Instrument
