About this listing
2001 Danelectro Hodad Baritone Black Gold Pearl Sparkle Triple Lipstick Pickup MIK Korea 29.5" Scale OffsetVery cool Danelectro Hodad Baritone in Black Gold Pearl Sparkle finish. The baritone Hodad models are pretty uncommon and don’t show up very often. All electronics work as intended and this triple pickup guitar has the same lineup as the DC-3 models with 6 different pickup combinations along with the "Blow Switch" that turns all 3 pickups on in series for stacked high output energy, Neck is straight and truss rod works (at heel end of neck). Guitar body has light scratch marks all over. I tried to show it in the video demo. The tape at the cutaways has lifted slightly. Overall this baritone is very clean.Select-O-Matic Settings:According to Dano-series demo documentation the 6 rotary switch positions correspond to these pickup pairings:Position 1: Neck and BridgePosition 2: Neck onlyPosition 3: Neck and MiddlePosition 4: Middle onlyPosition 5: Middle and BridgePosition 6: Bridge only The "Blow" Switch OverrideEngaged (ON): Activates all three pickups simultaneously (Neck + Middle + Bridge), bypassing whatever position the 6-way Select-O-Matic rotary knob is currently set to. This provides a louder, thicker blended tone.Guitar plays fine as is but any personal cleaning, setup, maintenance or repairs will be the new owners responsibility. This is a pre owned guitar that is 24 years old. It is not new and will show some signs of wear commensurate of age age use. Please see all pics and video for more details. No gig bag or case but guitar will be packed safely and shipped quickly..USA SHIPPINGNo PO Box addresses please.International buyers are responsible for any taxes, duties, fees etc. May be unable to ship to some countries because of size restrictions or other factors. Will ship with neck detached outside of continental USA.
