A late 1963 / early 1964 case for a Martin D-18. Would suit owner of similar vintage Martin looking for an original case to complete a collectable item. It works perfectly, although the key is long gone. Nothing is torn. It had some cool restorations done to the exterior edges where it must have been started to wear through - no quick duct tape job though, it's had black leather or maybe they're rubber strips glued on and overall works well with the vintage vibe. The handle patch is very comfortable and tasteful too. Has a vintage smell, like walking into an old carpeted room from that era, it's not an unpleasant mouldy or mildew smell though.
In terms of guitar protection it works as well as it ever would have, and a dred is reasonably snug inside - I mean I wouldn't check it in flying or use it for heavy road gigging but perfect for casual use around town and a vintage guitar in need of a cool home.
