A rare 452 model from Slingerland’s Maybell series, likely dating from around 1925. This instrument is characterized by its crisp sound and high-quality craftsmanship—all at a very affordable price!
The resonator is made of bird's-eye maple, and the tuners have been replaced with modern, geared pegs. Beneath the smooth skin lies a patented tone ring construction that gives the banjo the necessary projection.
Length 85 cm, scale length 57 cm, skin diameter 11"
There are superficial signs of age and wear; the neck is not perfect but absolutely playable. The frets show minimal wear. The instrument comes in a used Rockbag by Warwick.
