Product Details

The BOSS BF-2 is a flanger pedal that produces a unique undulation and three-dimensional fluctuation.

Among BOSS's many compact effects pedals, it has been a popular model known for its distinctive modulation sound.

From bold effects reminiscent of jet sounds to subtle additions to the sound, this pedal can add rich expression to your guitar tone.

This model features four controls: MANUAL, DEPTH, RATE, and RESONANCE.

MANUAL adjusts the frequency range affected, DEPTH sets the depth of the oscillation, and RATE sets the speed of the oscillation.

Furthermore, by changing the amount of feedback with RESONANCE, a wide range of sounds can be created, from gentle fluctuations to intense flanging effects.

By combining each control, fine adjustments can be made to suit the style of music and playing style, allowing for diverse modulation expressions despite its simple configuration.

The sound is characterized by a unique, periodically changing undulation and a flanging effect accompanied by a metallic resonance.

Setting the RATE to a slower setting creates a gentle, flowing modulation, adding depth and a sense of floating to clean tones.
Conversely, increasing the RESONANCE transforms it into a powerful, jet-like sweep sound.
When combined with a distorted guitar, it gives riffs and solos a strong presence. It excels at a wide range of sound shaping, from subtle sonic movements to bold special effects.

This unit can create unique sounds in various genres such as rock, funk, and alternative.

It's an attractive option for guitarists seeking a modulation different from standard chorus effects.

It's suitable not only as an accent in songs, but also for adding depth to the sound with a subtle, constant application, making it ideal for those looking to add new expression to their pedalboard.
