RARE ROLAND DANCE EXPANSION BOARD – AMG COLLABORATION – RECENTLY Professionally RECAPPED!For sale is an original Roland SR-JV80-06 DANCE Expansion Board, a highly collectible and discontinued sound expansion developed in collaboration with legendary British sampling company AMG.This incredible board captures the authentic sound of 1990s dance music, featuring classic analog synthesizers, powerful drum machines, sampled grooves, rhythmic loops, industrial textures, and vintage electronic sounds. An especially interesting Roland expansion board for collectors, as the SR-JV80-06 was reportedly withdrawn from distribution following copyright-related issues.IMPORTANT – RECENTLY RECAPPED!The original aging electrolytic capacitor has recently been replaced, addressing the known capacitor deterioration issue affecting the Roland SR-JV80 series. In January 2017, Roland issued an official safety advisory warning that aging electrolytic capacitors in SR-JV80 expansion boards could leak and potentially cause smoke. Roland advised owners to discontinue using the boards. Many original expansion boards still contain their decades-old capacitors. This particular board has already received the important capacitor replacement, a meaningful maintenance advantage compared with an untouched original board. This is particularly valuable to vintage Roland enthusiasts who want to avoid buying an expansion card still relying on the aging original component.Legendary 1990s Dance SoundsFeaturing 255 waveforms and 255 patches, including:Classic Roland TR-808 and TR-909 drum soundsTB-303-inspired acid basses and sequencesRoland SH-101-style synth texturesPunchy electronic drum kits and percussionPowerful analog-style basses and synth leadsVintage house, techno, trance, and industrial soundsSampled rhythmic grooves, loops, and vocal effectsAtmospheric pads, sweeps, and sound effectsDeveloped with AMG, this library offers a distinctive collection of sampled production sounds from the golden era of dance music.Perfect for electronic musicians, producers, composers, sound designers, and collectors of vintage Roland hardware.Compatible Roland SynthesizersCompatible with many Roland instruments equipped with SR-JV80 expansion slots, including:JV-1080, JV-2080, JV-80, JV-880, XP-50, XP-60, XP-80, XV-3080, XV-5080 and other supported models. Please verify compatibility with your instrument before purchasing.ConditionGenuine Roland SR-JV80-06 Dance Expansion BoardRecently replaced electrolytic capacitorOriginal Roland/AMG sound library and ROM chipsMade in JapanDiscontinued vintage expansionActual board photographed on both sidesCosmetic wear consistent with ageA wonderful opportunity to own one of Roland’s more distinctive vintage expansion boards, with important capacitor maintenance already completed.Carefully packaged for shipping. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
