Overview
The Korg Monotron was Korg's first analog synth in almost 20 years. Featuring a compact and portable design with a single oscillator monophonic voice playable from a built-in ribbon controller, the Monotron was priced as a musical toy but proved popular with hackers and analog enthusiasts. It's popularity proved to be a harbinger of the low cost analog monosynth trend in the 2010s.
