1952 Gibson J-50Exceptional early-’50s Gibson J-50 in very clean condition. A fantastic sounding, incredibly responsive guitar with a super light build, great neck and beautifully thin, razor like bracing. In my opinion, the pre-1955 Gibson J-45/J-50s are some of the best they ever made, and this is one of the best I’ve played.There are a few stable, clean repairs, but the guitar is otherwise remarkably clean and structurally completely sound.Comes with its original cardboard case, which has certainly seen better days, but still retains the original gold Gibson plaque inside - something I haven’t come across before. Very cool.A seriously special guitar from a great period of Gibson’s history.This is my keeper! But needs must.
