Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Reissue R9 VOS — Hand-Picked M2M, No-Pickguard-Holes Rarity (2013)A special R9: this 2013 Gibson Custom Shop '59 Les Paul Reissue (Historic VOS, 20th-anniversary spec) was built as a Made-to-Measure order with its flame maple top hand-selected by a trusted figure inside the Gibson Custom wood shop! You can see the raw AAA top slabs and the template-tracing stage in the photos, well before the guitar existed. It also carries a genuine factory rarity: the top was never drilled for a pickguard, a variant most collectors almost never see on an R9.
