Burson Audio HA-160 fully discrete Class A headphone amplifier in very good condition. Light surface markings on the top panel from careful use, otherwise excellent condition. Fully functional, no issues. Made in Melbourne, Australia.
The HA-160 was one of Burson Audio’s earlier reference headphone amplifiers and helped establish the company’s reputation for discrete audio design. It avoids standard IC op-amps in the audio circuit, instead using Burson’s own discrete HD op-amp modules built from individual components. The circuit also uses a short signal path and no coupling capacitors in the signal path.
Discontinued and increasingly hard to find in complete, working condition. A solid, heavy desktop amplifier with a clean Class A presentation and two headphone outputs optimized for different headphone impedance ranges.
