YAMAHA GC-30A – 1980
Scale: 662 mm | Nut width: 52–62 mm | Total height: 95–98 mm
Shellac finish | Top: German Cedar | Back & Sides: Jacaranda
Neck: Mahogany & Ebony | Fingerboard: Ebony | Bridge: Jacaranda
Tuning Machines: Original Hofner, 40 mm spacing between shafts | Premium hard case (shows signs of use)
This guitar features low action, easy playability, a straight neck, and no dead notes.
There is a scratch below the bridge near the 1st string caused by a snapped string, and a few minor age-related marks on the top.
On the back of the neck, there are some light scratches—likely from the previous owner’s child playing around (!?)—but they do not affect the wood or performance.
Overall, this is a heritage-grade instrument by Yamaha and the master luthier Toshio Kato, delivering a wonderful tone with deep, powerful basses and bright, resonant trebles.
