Here we have a vintage 1979 Hamer Standard electric guitar! This one features a bound neck with crown inlays, and a 4-digit serial number.

Other specs include a flame maple top, mahogany body, mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. It has Grover tuners and an aluminum backplate. It’s loaded with double cream and zebra DiMarzio humbuckers.

The guitar is in very good condition overall. There are light dings and surface scratches across the body and neck, along with other light signs of use. There is scuffing at the tip of the body and on the back of the neck which appears to be from rubbing inside the case. There are some light finish chips at the edges of the body and headstock as well, but nothing too major. The frets show light wear but play just fine ultimately. The guitar appears to be original with pots that date to the 32nd week of 1978.

This one weighs in at 8lbs 12oz. The neck measures .840 to .900 at the 1st and 12th. It has a medium C neck profile that is easy to play. The guitar is well-balanced and has a slinky feel. We love the tone and vibe overall, and it truly rips when pushed through a hi-gain amp! This guitar is serial number 0170 stamped into the wood on the back of the headstock.

Ships in the original hardshell case.
