Dolby DP523 audio encoder. Works perfectly fine, tested. It is the counterpart of the DP524 (decoder).
Encodes stereo audio into Dolby AC‑2 or Dolby Digital (AC‑3) bitstreams at various data rates (typically 40–384 kbps) and sample rates (32, 44.1, or 48 kHz)
Offers analog (20‑bit A/D) and digital (AES‑EBU, S/PDIF) inputs, plus digital outputs formatted as RS‑449 serial streams carrying encoded data.
Supports automatic algorithm and rate selection, metadata insertion, RS‑232 control, and on‑board tone generation.
