After my daughters were born I had a custom bass built by Alembic as a gift for their first birthday. Why, why not? Lol. Years before their birth I got the chance from Alembic to design a personal bass. Susan and Ron were excited about it and they were going to put my design, the EvH(uik) model, into production. Years later a picollo bass from the first EvH design was built for Tania’s birthday and a tenor bass from the EvH 2.0 evolution model was built for Bootsy’s birthday. Their first bass lessons were given by a friend of mine, they were quite talented but as the ladies got older Tania's interest went more towards classical piano playing and Bootsy got more and more focus on singing. Yesterday they asked me with some melancholy: 'Dad, do you want to sell our basses because they have been lying under the bed for years, we are really very sorry but it is a shame if they are just lying there and not being played’.
After careful consideration I decided to sell these beautiful and exclusive Alembic basses, sigh ..
