Offered for sale is a beautiful 1976 Guild D-50 acoustic guitar, a classic American-made instrument built in Westerly, RI, known for its powerful projection, rich tonal character, and exceptional craftsmanship.

This 50-year-old guitar is in very good overall condition and has been well cared for.  It has the kind of mature, resonant tone that only comes with a well-played vintage instrument. The guitar has near-perfect intonation and produces excellent tonal resonance, with a warm, full-bodied sound, strong projection, and plenty of clarity across the strings. It would be equally at home for fingerpicking, strumming, or flatpicking.

I just had a luthier go over the guitar from top to bottom and it is structurally in excellent condition, very sound and stable. There is a hairline crack on the top that the luthier repaired.  There are a couple of nearly invisible finish cracks (not in the wood) below the bridge.  There is some scuffing on the back that is barely visible and a ding on the top of the headstock.  Although the original Guild tuners were fine, I replaced them with Grovers.  I kept the original Guild tuners and will include them with the guitar.  

Please review the photos carefully for the guitar's exact cosmetic condition and details. As with any vintage instrument, there may be signs of normal age and use, but overall this guitar presents very well and has lots of life and music in it.
