The ME-50 is one of those pieces of gear that manages to pack an enormous amount of functionality into an incredibly intuitive format. No complicated menus or endless programming: each effect has dedicated physical controls, so you can simply plug in, turn a few knobs and play.

It features BOSS COSM overdrive/distortion, with a huge range of drive sounds including classic-style overdrives, heavy distortion and even the excellent SQUARE synth-style effect.

The modulation section offers Chorus, Phaser, Flanger, Harmonist, Tremolo, Pan, Vibrato, Uni-V and Rotary, while the delay section includes multiple delay types, Analog, Reverse, Tap Tempo and HOLD, allowing up to approximately 2 seconds of loop-style recording.

The built-in expression pedal is extremely versatile and can work as a Volume pedal, Wah, Resonance, Voice, Ring Modulator or Octave Up/Down controller.
