Tobacco Brown Sunburst finish adds a classic stage-ready visual character
The Yamaha A1R Tobacco Brown Sunburst is designed for players who want a fuller and more harmonically complex acoustic voice while maintaining the practicality and reliability of a modern stage-ready acoustic-electric. As part of Yamaha’s A Series lineup, the A1R balances professional usability with a strong unplugged sound that feels equally at home on stage, in rehearsal spaces, or during everyday playing.
The solid Sitka spruce top provides clarity and responsiveness, while the rosewood back and sides add depth, low-end warmth, sparkling highs, and rich overtone detail. The result is a broad and spacious acoustic voice that responds exceptionally well to open chords, dynamic strumming, and players looking for greater harmonic richness and sustain.
The Traditional Western body shape draws inspiration from classic dreadnought designs while incorporating a more player-focused feel and balanced response. It delivers strong projection and fullness while remaining controlled and articulate enough for more dynamic playing styles.
For live use, Yamaha’s SRT pickup system provides a clean and natural amplified signal that translates well in performance environments without unnecessary complexity. Yamaha’s long-standing reputation for consistency and quality control is immediately noticeable in the overall fit, feel, and setup of the instrument.
Since 1959, Yamaha has earned a reputation for building guitars that consistently exceed expectations within their category. The A1R continues that tradition with a musician-focused design centered around dependable performance, strong tonal balance, and real-world versatility.
