Expertly crafted from B20 bronze using traditional hand-hammering techniques, this stunning cymbal delivers a crisp, extra dry sound.Living up to their name, these cymbals are extremely dry, with low-pitched, trashy sounds and short sustain. The raw unlathed surfaces and extensive hand hammering suggest that their sound might be loud and fierce. Overview

Founded in 1951 and based in Germany, Meinl Percussion is one of the two leaders in European cymbal and percussion manufacture alongside Paiste. The Byzance series features traditional Turkish hammering techniques with a basis of B20 alloy for a traditional, atmospheric cymbal sound. The 18" Extra Dry China features an immediate decay and biting, trashy attack.
