Vintage 1970’s Ludwig 6.5x14 Black Beauty Super Sensitive snare drum in VG condition. The pointy blue & olive badge has serial #197xxxx, pointing to 1979.No extra holes or modifications to the black nickel over brass shell. Signs of light use and age with light scratches and some spots where nickel coating is blemished. There is one small ding near the bottom hoop on the badge panel and a couple small ones elsewhere that are easy to miss (see photos). The original Super Sensitive strainer and the round knob muffler function smoothly. Hoops and tension rods are original; a few washers appear to be replacements. Heads are modern Ludwig.The sound of this vintage 70’s 6.5x14 Black Beauty is legendary, and a welcome addition to any collection.Shipping is for the continental USA only.
