Absolutely killer vintage Harmony H70 Meteor hollowbody electric from the 1960s finished in classic sunburst and loaded with the legendary original DeArmond gold foil pickups.Built in Chicago during Harmony’s golden era, the H70 Meteor has become one of the most sought after vintage American hollowbodies thanks to its unmistakable tone, lightweight feel, and incredible visual vibe.The original DeArmond gold foil pickups are the highlight here — clear, dynamic, woody, and extremely touch sensitive with that unmistakable vintage character that modern builders still try to recreate today.This example has just been cleaned, restrung, and set up here at the shop and is playing very nicely for a vintage hollowbody of this era.Current action:.11" at the 12th fret on the low E.09" at the 12th fret on the high EElectronics are functioning properly including both pickups and controls.Cosmetically, the guitar shows honest vintage wear throughout including scratches, checking, finish wear, and small dings consistent with a well-loved 60+ year old instrument, but overall presents extremely well.There is also a center seam crack on the back of the guitar. Importantly, this crack is completely structurally stable and solid. For additional reinforcement and peace of mind, we carefully wicked thick CA glue into the seam.
